Micronano

International MicroNanoConference

REGISTER NOW AS A VISITOR of the International MicroNanoConference and then you can also register for the Nano Microscopy, AFM and Spectroscopy Shop.

The Nano Microscopy, AFM and Spectroscopy Shop

The Nano Microscopy and Spectroscopy Shop is a workshop that focuses on nano microscopy, AFM and spectroscopy technologies and equipment for the nano domain, including accessories and software, sample preparation, reporting and characterisation. Below you can find all the companies that will be demonstrating, and training, their capabilities to the visitors of the iMNC2015!

Samples

For this workshop it is possible to bring your own samples. We even encourage you to do so! We will soon post an update with more information regarding this subject.

The participating companies, in alphabetical order:

Bruker Nanobruker

Bruker delivers High End AFM equipment with forefront technology. Next to that we also support the following technologies: 3D Optical Profilers, 2D Stylus Profilers, Tribometers and Nano-indenters.

Dimension FastScan for Biological Imaging

The Dimension FastScan® deldimension fastscan brukerivers, for the first time, extreme imaging speed without loss of resolution, loss of force control, added complexity, or additional operating costs. This tip-scanning system provides measurements on both large and small size samples in air or fluids. With the FastScan you can achieve immediate atomic force microscopy images with the expected high resolution of a high-performance AFM, all in a single system.

DelmicDelmic

DELMIC specializes in research instruments that integrate the detection of electrons and light. DELMIC’s products, which are fully compatible with all brands of scanning electron microscopes, are focused on high performance, user friendly, integrated solutions. The company has two product lines:

– The SECOM platform for integrated correlative fluorescence and electron microscopy
– The SPARC system for high-performance cathodoluminescence detection

DELMIC BV started up in 2010, based on the idea of the SECOM platform. The SECOM platform is an idea of the Charged Particle Optics group of Delft University of Technology. At the end of 2011 the company obtained the SPARC system from the Polman group at AMOLF. Together, the SECOM and the SPARC systems enable DELMIC to cater to a broad range of researchers; from nanophotonics to life sciences.

Fast and sensitive material characterization

As a researcher, you have a variety of powerful analytical Delmictools available to you. Scanning electron microscopy is one such tool for studying systems within biology and material science. The integration of information from other techniques such as fluorescence imaging or cathodoluminescence spectroscopy with electron microscopy provides complimentary data sets that help you to build a more complete picture of your system of interest. By combining these techniques into a single platform, DELMIC make this possible while streamlining your work flow – the best of both worlds.

During this workshop will we present you the SPARC cathodoluminescence system, designed to enable fast and sensitive material characterization at the nanoscale.

Ocean OpticsOcean Optics 2013

Ocean Optics is the inventor of the world’s first miniature spectrometer and a global leader in photonics for research, life sciences, quality assurance, education and OEM applications. Ocean Optics’ extensive line of complementary technologies includes spectrometers, chemical sensors, metrology instrumentation, optical fibres and thin films and optics. Recognized as an industry innovator, Ocean Optics has specified and delivered more than 250,000 modular miniature spectrometers and systems throughout the world and has enabled thousands of different applications – from cancer detection and colour matching to plasma monitoring and particle size analysis. Our spectrometers have been to the Moon and inside active volcanos and follow our mission to help our customers change the world through optical sensing.

Optics11Optics11_logo

Optics11 develops optical fiber sensing systems for life science and remote sensing applications. Our primary product is a nanoindenter that measures the local mechanical properties of soft (bio-) materials. The Piuma Nanoindenter is capable of measuring the softest gels and cells down to 100 Pa, while the upper limit is in the range of hard plastics. Using advanced optical technology, the future capabilities of our fiber-top technology will go beyond the mechanical domain, and include features such as spectroscopic analysis.

Explore the local mechanical properties of soft (bio) materials and tissues in just one click!

At the workshop, we will show the PiumaOptics11 Nanoindenter at work, as well as the technology behind it. To demonstrate the capabilities and added value of the instrument, you are welcome to bring your own soft samples. So if you would like to know more about the viscoelastic properties of your elastomere, hydrogel, biological tissue or some other soft sample, bring it to the show and we will have beautiful data within a few minutes!
