Vital Opportunities for Biosensors

The presentation, Vital Opportunties for Biosensors, will highlight key technology developments, applications, industry transactions and investment activities, growth markets and market opportunties for biosensors. Technology developments will include advancements/innovations in key biosensing technologies such as nanobiosensors, magnetic-based biosensors, graphene biosensors. MEMS biosensors, optical biosensors, electrochemical biosensors, ingestible biosensors, multiparameter biosensors, organ-on-a-chip. Key markets/applications to be addressed include point of care and home diagnostics, wearables, environmental monitoring, food monitoring, defense and security, implantable applications, automotive biometric sensors for detecting a driver’s behavioral attributes, drug screening and delivery, non-invasive glucose monitoring. Key focus areas for biosensor research will be highlighted; along with challenges in the biosensor arena, such achieving devices that provide simple fabrication, high sensitivity and specificity as well as a rapid response, miniaturization, low cost operation and ease of use.
