SpacePharma R&D director of microgravity research.
Yair is leading SpacePharma microgravity activities including: miniaturized biochemical laboratory nanosatellite (DIDO2 mission), automated life-science research payload on board of the ISS (“Nexus” mission) and parabolic flights.
Yair is:
• Team member of the development of SpacePharma Advance lab (SPAd-Lab) and responsible for the integration of Lab-On-a-Chip technology in order to enable Organ-On-a-Chip studies on the SPAd-lab.
• Lab-On-a-Chip (LOC) expert with experience in integrated microfluidic biological applications ranging from on chip high throughput protein expression and quantitative measurement of protein-DNA affinity to pathogen receptor discovery on a microfluidic platform.
• Well skilled in a variety of cleanroom techniques, such as photolithography for the production of microfluidic master molds and soft-lithography for production of microfluidic devices.
Yair holds BA in biology from the open university of Israel, MsC in immunology and a PhD in nanotechnology and biochemistry both from Bar-Ilan University, Israel.
