5 Tips for online networking

10/21/2020 door aurelie

As a virtual attendee, networking can feel very different from networking at a physical event. Here are 5 tips to help you get started.
1. Be a conversation starter
You can click on a profile to send a message or invite a participant to a video call. Prepare an elevator pitch to introduce yourself in 2 sentences to start the meeting.
2. Be visible in the meeting rooms
During the Q&A in the sessions, you can use your camera and microphone to ask your question. You start a conversation with the speaker and others can see you and connect with you to continue the discussion.
3. Make use of your profile tags
In your personal profile settings, you can select from 20 tags to make it easier for other participants to see what you are looking for and what you have to offer.
4. Your profile photo shows who you are
Use a good quality profile photo in your online profile. It is easier to send a request for a meeting to someone you can see, isn’t it?
5. Make sure to follow up
Have you made a new connection? Your meeting will be a first introduction, after iMNC2020 you can continue the conversation and build a new partnership deal.
